Mindy-Lu

Hey I'm back sorry I haven't been posting for a VERY long time but I have great news. Me and my family have this little puppy named Mindy-Lu (Mindy for short) for a while now and she is adorable! She's about five-six months and she's looking for a great home. She's a female Bull Terrier mix and loves people. She's great with dogs, cats, kids, and she won't chew up your shoes. She loves to snuggle up with you at night and she's can be crazy occasionally. She has minor blatter infection (she is on meds for three more weeks) and should kept in a crate when you leave the house due to anxiety. It would be better if she was in a home with another dog friendly male dog (must be neutered) and cannot yet be left alone for long periods of time (5 hours+ is to long). Please tell everyone you know about Mindy so that she'll find a home!!!!

KONY 2012 cover the night

Kony is this terrible man who abducts kids. The boys he uses as soldier that kill and mutilate other peoples faces. The girls he uses as sex slaves so he can have more soldiers. He had over 3000 kids in his army. On April 20, 2012 is when we are going to cover the night. We are going to put posters all over the place and make him famous. On April 20 remember to wear a Kony 2012 t-shirt during the day (if you don't have one make one) and spread posters all over your local neighborhood (make posters if you don't have any). Whales

Now your probably wondering why there are so many different topics. Well, there's just so much to write about I can just write about one thing. Anyway lets talk about whales. Whales are getting slaughtered almost everyday. Some of the Japanese say that they're using them for scientific research but they're actually not they just like killing them they don't even use them for food they just kill them. On animal planet (the T.V. channel) there is a show called whale wars and these people try to stop the people who kill the whales. They are luring whales to the shore and slaughtering them by hand. You can help by making websites, putting up posters, and getting in touch with your local governments to help stop them. Please, please, please, help try to stop them.

Rallflesia Plant

Hey again i'm going to talk about a Rallflesia. A Rallflesia is an endangered plant that smells of rotting meat. It grows on vines and lives in rainforests. They are becoming endangered because people are cutting down the trees that they grow on and various things are trampling them. If you want to help save them you can try making a website or a blog and get people to help plant more!

Progress for Kittens!

Hi everyone sorry I haven't posted in a while I've just had so many things going on. Now does everyone remember about those two little kittens that used to live right outside one of our windows? Well, my two neighbors also discovered them a little while after we did so they started taking care of them. They were getting much bigger. On their garage door they have a little doggy door because they used to have a stray cat but now he lives inside with them. Anyway back to the kittens, so our neighbors decided to go to Danbury CT, but both of the kittens were in the motor of the car and stayed there until they got to Danbury. When they got to Danbury they saw the two little kittens run away and they tried to get them but they couldn't.When they got home they were both sad that the kittens were gone. So if you're taking care of stray kittens always remember to check your motor.

Jasmine

My family just found this other dog Jack a home way up in Main. We foster dogs and we just got a new one about a week ago and her name was Skeeta. We didn't like that name so we changed it to Jasmine. She's Cane Corso Mastiff. She was very skinny. The day that she came I was so excited I wanted to see her right away but I couldn't because she was sleeping. About an hour later I got to see her and she was soooooooooo cute. She is really big! She's been really good and she's looking for a home she's not posted on the website yet but if you want to see other dogs go to www.waggintrainrescue.com they also have cats for all you cat lovers out there.

Yay Kittens

After we got back from being at the jersey shore we went to check on our house in Connecticutt. Everything looked fine there except a huge branch fell down in our front yard. We checked to see if the kittens were there and at first we didn't see them but then we saw them in a different spot. The kittens were even cuter now because they were chubby and there eyes were open now but not there ears. The mom wasn't there at the time so I went over to go look at them. This time they were both there. I couldn't help not holding one of them so I picked one of them up and it was so warm and cuddly. I held the kitten for a little while and then put it back down. We had to leave now so I said goodbye and then we left. Stay safe kittys.

More In The Jersey Shore

The few last days were great we went to Cape May Friday night and we went in a bunch of cool stores. The first one we went to was a soap shop that has this really cool soap that smells amazing called monkey farts. We also went to an arcade which was also really fun. Saturday was just a fun lazy day on the beach. Sunday when we went to the beach again there were a bunch of live sand crabs. My dad caught one and he gave to me to hold. There was also a baby one in my hand. Then after that we left and had a long drive back to my house.

Jersey Shore

It's been a fun filled week down here at the Jersey Shore. Some of my friends came down and my grandparents also came down and we all had a blast. We went to the beach and went boogie boarding there and when we were in the ocean on boogie boards we were about five or six feet away from dolphins. It was really cool being that close to wild dolphins like that. And the night before they left we went to the board walk which had a lot of fun rides like roller coasters, bumper cars, games, a ferris wheel, and much much more. So far it's been a pretty fun week and next summer you all should think about coming down here.

Sad Morning For Kittens

This morning I went to go check on the kittens and the mom wasn't there. I noticed that the food bowl was empty which means that she came back to eat the food and that the kittens got to nurse on her. But then I also noticed that there was only one kitten! I didn't hear any mewing in the bushes which means it might have been sleeping. So I looked through the bushes a little bit but I find the kitten. Then after that the other kitten woke up and started crawling around looking for its mom. I didn't want that kitten to also crawl into the bushes so I quickly went inside, washed my hands, came back outside, and picked up the kitten. It was so cute. I put it in the little shelter that I made for them but she/he kept crawling out. So instead of just putting it in the little shelter I just put the kitten back down. The kitten kept crawling for a little bit longer but then it just went back to sleep.

Since there's going to be a hurricane I made a shelter for them which is a plastic garbage can with a blanket inside of it so the mama cat and the kittens can stay in. I also put a rock in it to hold it down from getting blown away. And those of you who were dying to see a picture of the kittens here they are:

Back To The Kittens

Progress with the kittens has been going really well, they're healthy but still really tiny. The mom of the kittens has been eating all of the food that we've been giving her so that's good. But when I went back to go check on them, one of the kittens was gone! I had no idea where it was but then I herd a little mew. I looked at the kitten that was still there but it wasn't the one mewing. Then I noticed that the mewing was coming from the in the bushes. I started searching for it but it seemed like the mew kept getting further and further away. So, I decided to go put some shoes on and wash my hands before I touched it. Then I really started looking for it because I wasn't just going to leave it there. So I walked a little bit further and there she/he was! So I went over to go pick it up and it was the cutest thing ever. So I put it back and it went right to sleep. Oh kittens.

Hurricane Irene

What is Hurricane Irene you ask? It's a hurricane that's going to hit several states such as Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and many more. In New Jersey the whole state is evacuating and that's where I was going to go to for vacation. In New York City they might be closing the trains from Sunday to Monday maybe even Saturday. I don't really know what's going to happen in Connecticut but I don't think it's going to be good. OH NO!!!!!!!!! The mama cat and her baby kittens are going to be in the hurricane!!!!!!!! Lets hope that they'll be okay. Stay safe everyone :-)

Wake Up Little Kittens

In the morning I just had to go check to see if the mama cat was there and she was! I was so happy and relieved that the mom was back and that the kittens were nursing on her. I noticed that food bowl was empty so hopefully she's the one that ate all of it. I watched them for a little while just to catch up on what was happening. I decided to go upstairs just to chill out because it was early and I was still exhausted. After that, the mom was gone looking  for more food and while she was, I snuck another bowl of cat food where her and her kittens are. Later in the day it started raining and the kittens were getting wet. I couldn't leave them there so I washed my hands really well and went to go put them under a little part of our roof. A little bit before I went to go meet my friend at the library, the mom came back to keep them from getting wet and everything was much better.

Newborn Kittens

Last night when we were getting ready for bed and my brother saw a black cat outside one of our guest bedroom windows. When he went to go see her she got scared of him and ran away. After that, we noticed two little black and white kittens crawling around helplessly mewing right outside the bedroom window. Me my mom and my brother had no idea what to do because the mom ran away. We put out a bowl of cat food out for the mama cat to eat. We kept checking on the kittens to see if the mom would come back but she didn't. We had to go to bed by now and we took one last look to see if she was there but she wasn't. We all had our fingers crossed that she would be back in the morning.
